Supporting Educators from Faculty of Education into Practice
PSST (Professional Support and Strategies for Teachers) is a free community built for educators in their beginning years of practice — including those currently enrolled in a Faculty of Education.
We offer resources, virtual meetups, mentorship, and a space to share experiences with other new teachers. Our goal: To support YOU as you move from teacher training to confident classroom leadership.
As a practising educator working across two Faculties of Education in Ontario, I noticed a missing link: when educators graduate, they often lose the community that supported them.
I created PSST to be a virtual space where new teachers could continue to collaborate, learn, and grow. Thanks to the work of Faculty of Education students at Wilfrid Laurier, this community continues to grow and develop- in ways that new educators need the most!
PSST is designed by new educators, for new educators — because your voice matters.
